Aalayah Banks Arrested in Burglary Investigation

On June 23, 2015, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriffs Office deputies responded to a residence of the 1700 block of East Frisco Drive in LaPlace for the report of a burglary. The homeowners security surveillance camera captured photos of the perpetrator gathering and removing items from her residence.

The neighbors of the victim identified their daughter, Aalayah Banks, 17, as the perpetrator in the victims residence. Subsequently, with the cooperation of her neighbors, the victim recovered her stolen property from the neighbors daughters bedroom.

Detectives obtained a judicial court ordered arrest warrant for Aalayah Banks. Detectives arrested Banks on July 8 and booked her with simple burglary and simple criminal damage to property. She bonded out of jail on $6,000 bond.
