Shooting Investigation - Joe Parquet Circle

On Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 11:35 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the area of Joe Parquet Circle in LaPlace for the report of gunshots heard in the vicinity. Minutes after deputies arrived in the area of Joe Parquet Circle, a 22 year old LaPlace man walked into the River Parish Hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. His injury was non-life threatening, and he was treated and released. The gunshot victim told investigators he was shot near Joe Parquet Circle. Investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify who is responsible and a motive for the shooting.
