Shooting Investigation - Creole St. LaPlace

On Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 10:13 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 1700 block of Creole Street in LaPlace for the report of gunshots heard in the area. As deputies arrived on the scene, they were advised that a man arrived at the River Parish Hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound to the chest area.
The victim was identified as 24 year old Reserve man. He was transferred to a New Orleans area hospital for treatment and is in guarded condition. During the incident no one else was injured; however, two vehicles and a residence were hit with projectiles.
Progress with the investigation has been hindered due to the lack of cooperation of the victim.
