Four Offenders Arrested in Narcotics Investigation

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives initiated an investigation after receiving complaints of drug activity on East 26th Street in Reserve. After gathering evidence and intelligence, detectives sought and obtained a judicial court ordered search warrant for an apartment in the 300 block of East 26th Street. 

On Thursday, September 19, detectives executed the search warrant on the residence of Ted Edwards Jr., 26, and Dajerel Daguinod, 23. Detectives recovered marijuana, cocaine, several bottles of promethazine/codeine and drug paraphernalia. They also recovered 2 rifles, 2 handguns, and a shotgun. One rifle was reported stolen. 

While detectives executed the search warrant, detectives noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from an upstairs apartment. After further investigation, detectives obtained a judicial court ordered search warrant for that apartment, the residence of Michael Sanders Jr., 32, and Ebonie Sanders, 36. Upon execution of the search warrant, detectives recovered marijuana,  crack cocaine, promethazine/codeine, Xanax, and drug paraphernalia. 

Ted Edwards Jr. was arrested and charged with:

*possession of firearms while in possession of CDS

*possession of a stolen firearm

*possession of marijuana

*possession of cocaine

*possession of promethazine/codeine

*possession of a legend drug

*possession of CDS in the presence of a juvenile

*removal of symbol required by uniform CDS law

*possession of drug paraphernalia

*felon in possession of a firearm

*outstanding arrest warrant

Released on Surety Bond of $61,500.00

 

Dajerel Daguinod was arrested and charged with:

*possession of firearms while in possession of CDS

*possession of a stolen firearm

*possession of marijuana

*possession of cocaine

*possession of promethazine/codeine

*possession of a legend drug

*possession of CDS in the presence of a juvenile

*removal of symbol required by uniform CDS law

*possession of drug paraphernalia

Released on Surety Bond of $30,500.00

 

Michael Sanders Jr. was arrested and charged with:

*possession of crack cocaine

*possession of promethazine/codeine

*possession of Xanax

*possession of drug paraphernalia

*obstruction of justice
Released on $21,500.00 Surety bond.



 

Ebonie Sanders was arrested and charged with:

*possession of crack cocaine

*possession of promethazine/codeine

*possession of Xanax

*possession of drug paraphernalia

*obstruction of justice
Released on Surety Bond $23,500.00
