Delinquent Tax Notification

The St. John the Baptist Parish 2024 delinquent property tax list will be advertised in the L’Observateur newspaper on May 28, 2025. Unpaid taxes must be paid by May 22, 2025 to avoid publication.

 A second notice listing delinquent property taxes will be published in L’Observateur on June 11, 2025.  Unpaid taxes must be paid by June 5, 2025 to avoid publication.

 The 2024 property tax sale will be held online on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. through www.zeusauction.com. Unpaid taxes must be paid by Wednesday, June 25, 2025 to avoid tax sale on Thursday, June 26, 2025.  No payments will be accepted the day of tax sale.

 Tax payments are accepted online at www.stjohnsheriff.org and in person at the Sheriff’s Office located at 1801 W. Airline Hwy in LaPlace or the West Bank Public Safety Complex located at 5739 Hwy 18 in Vacherie from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A class is offered to teach women self-defense techniques to help protect themselves from assault.

A Teens and Traffic Stops class is presented periodically to teach teens how to respond if they get pulled over.

Concealed Carry Permit Classes

Concealed Carry Permit classes are offered for the public to complete the certification required to obtain a Louisiana Concealed Carry License.
