The property described in the Act of Mortgage is described as follows:

A CERTAIN LOT OF GROUND, situated in the Parish of St. John the Baptist, State of Louisiana, on the east bank of the Mississippi River, at LaPlace, Louisiana, forming part of the battue of Woodland Plantation, located in front of Section 27, Township 11 South, Range 7 East, which tract of land has been subdivided by H.E. Landry, C.E., No, 585, dated New Orleans, Louisiana, December 5, 1931, as the “PECAN GROVE SUBDIVISION”, a blue print copy whereof has been accepted and approved by the Police Jury of the Parish of St. John the Baptist and filed and deposited for recordation in the office of the Clerk of Court of said Parish, and according thereto, said presently conveyed lot of ground is designated thereon as LOT NO. ONE (1) of BLOCK “B”, and measures sixty-four (64′) feet front on the Jefferson Highway, by a depth between equal and parallel lines of One Hundred Twenty (120′) feet, and having a width on its river side of Sixty-four (64′) feet, and is bounded on the Northeast by Jefferson Highway, on the North or upper ride by a public street designated as “Aycock Street”, on its lower ride by Lot No. Two (2) of Block “B”, and on its river ride by Lot No. Four (4) of Block “B”, together with all the rights, ways, privileges, servitudes and advantages thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining.
