On Monday, May 18, 2015, at 7:06 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff‘s Office deputies arrested Corey Bartholomew, 24, of East 6th Street in Edgard on a judicial court ordered arrest warrant for armed robbery and aggravated assault and on an attachment. Deputies arrested Bartholomew in the parking lot of a lounge on East 6th Street.
On April 14 at 5:43 am, deputies responded to the area of East 6th Street and Bailey Lane for the report of a male subject being hit in the head with a gun. EMS treated the 19-year-old male victim, but he refused additional medical attention.
Over the course of the investigation, the detective identified the perpetrator as Corey Bartholomew. The investigation revealed that Bartholomew struck the victim with a handgun, took his money, and told him to leave before he killed him. A judicial court ordered arrest warrant was issued for Corey Bartholomew.
Deputies booked Bartholomew with armed robbery, aggravated assault, and an outstanding attachment. He remains in custody in lieu of a $60,150 bond.
