On Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 12:38 am while on criminal patrol, a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy saw a truck swerving in and out of its travel lane. The deputy conducted a traffic stop, and after a thorough investigation, the driver was arrested and booked with DWI, careless operation, and driver must be licensed.
The driver was identified as William Boyd Jr., 49, of Sandpiper Drive in LaPlace. Records indicate that Boyd was arrested previously six times for DWI since August 2007. Boyd remains in custody in lieu of a $100,750.00 bond.
