Subsequent to a month long joint investigation with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives arrested two brothers, Tramon Dixon, 26, from Riverside Drive in Metairie and Raynell Dixon, 32, from Historic East Street in Garyville.
Over the course of the investigation, an undercover officer purchased marijuana and ecstasy from Tramon Dixon and Raynell Dixon. Based on the investigation, detectives sought and obtained judicial court ordered arrest warrants for the two suspects. Thursday, when detectives executed the warrants, Tramon Dixon was in possession of 39 grams of marijuana ($100) and 10 doses of ecstasy ($100), and Raynell Dixon was in possession of .5 grams of marijuana.
Detectives arrested and booked Tramon Dixon with distribution of marijuana, principal to distribution of schedule I CDS (4), and possession with intent to distribute schedule I CDS (2). Tramon remains in custody in lieu of a $155,000 bond. He was arrested 17 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since June 2006.
Detectives arrested and booked Raynell Dixon with distribution of schedule I CDS (2) and possession of marijuana. Raynell bonded out of jail on a $51,500 bond. He was arrested 35 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since February 1999.
