On Monday, June 29, 2015, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Herbert Johnson Jr., 46, of Reserve in connection with an armed robbery of a LaPlace business in January. Detectives arrested Johnson at his place of employment on a judicial court ordered arrest warrant.
Over the course of the investigation, detectives indentified Johnson as a suspect in connection with the armed robbery and obtained a judicial court ordered arrest warrant. Because the investigation is still open, additional information regarding the investigation is not available. Detectives anticipate another arrest.
Detectives booked Herbert Johnson Jr. with principal to aggravated burglary, principal to aggravated kidnapping, and principal to armed
robbery. Johnson remains in custody in lieu of a $135,000.00 bond. He was arrested 33 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since May 1986.
