On Friday, July 17, 2015, at 11:46 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 400 block of Homewood Place in Reserve for the report of a home invasion. Two armed men approached two male victims, ages 33 and 32, while they were talking outside their residences. The perpetrators, one armed with a rifle and the other armed with a handgun, demanded money and forced the victims in the house. The wife of one of the male victims hid in the bathroom to call 911 to report the incident. One of the perpetrators forced her from the bathroom to the front of the house.
The perpetrators fled the residence with approximately $10 cash from one of the victims. One male victim and his wife were hit with the rifle during the assault. They both refused medical attention.
The victims described the perpetrators as slim black males dressed in black clothing and wearing black gloves and masks.
