Brian S. Gremillion, 45, of Garyville, was arrested Sunday, September 3, 2017 for attempting to set a Garyville residence on fire. On September 3, 2017, deputies responded to the 200 block of South Church Street in reference to a male subject causing a disturbance and pouring gasoline inside a residence. Upon arrival, deputies approached the residence with the door opened, smelled a strong odor of gasoline coming from the residence, and heard a verbal alteration taking place between a male subject identified as Gremillion and a female subject identified as Landora Musco, 40, of Garyville. Deputies made contact with the subjects and learned an argument between Gremillion and Musco, his girlfriend, escalated when Gremillion threaten to set fire to the residence. Gremillion was then detained. Soon after, firefighters arrived on the scene for further investigation.
A computer check also showed Gremillion had an active warrant for contempt of court, and Musco was wanted on a fugitive warrant from Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office. No one was injured in the incident. Gremillion was booked with attempted aggravated arson and on a contempt of court (misdemeanor) warrant. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $12,169.50 bond.
