Det. Lt. Mike Shard spoke March 8, 2023 about Internet and cyber safety for children and parents during a parents meeting at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School in LaPlace.
Lt. Shard is a certified financial/cyber crimes Investigator and 3C forensics examiner.
Among the tips offered by Lt. Shard were supervise young children’s use of the internet including checking their profiles and posts; put limits on media use; keep computers in public areas in the house; and review games, apps, and social media sites before they are downloaded or used by children.
