St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s deputies were at the Westbank Substation on Saturday, Aug. 10, conducting free car seat safety checks.
This service allows parents and caregivers an opportunity to meet with certified car seat technicians and verify that their children are in the right seat for their height, weight, and age. On hand to check seats were: K9 Handler Ben Teekell, Det. Sgt. Mile D’Amato, Lt. Scott Lacy and Cpl. Orlando Nicholas.
Sheriff Tregre will host the next fitting station at 1801 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon.
