The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has arrested 10 people related to reported burglaries in the St. John Parish area in July and August. The reported incidents include residential, vehicle, and business burglaries.
Through the course of their investigations detectives have been able to secure search and arrest warrants pertaining to the burglaries. Of those arrested seven were juveniles ranging in age from 14 to 16.
Detectives have been able to recover several of the victim’s property including firearms.
Sheriff Mike Tregre wants to thank the citizens who assisted greatly by providing investigators with home surveillance video to help identify the perpetrators. The St. John Sheriff’s Office would also like to remind citizens to lock their vehicles, secure their firearms in a safe place and contact 911 if any suspicious activity is observed.
