The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division arrested three people and booked them with possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine following a traffic stop Saturday (Nov.23) in Garyville, LA.

During the course of a traffic stop investigation, deputies located approximately 87 grams of Methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia. Deputies learned through their investigation that all three subjects involved in the traffic stop were actively involved in a criminal conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in St. John the Baptist Parish.

Arrested were:

• Jerry Beeland, 47, of St. Rose, booked with prohibited acts, drugs paraphernalia (MISD) and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony). Beeland is in being held under a $25,500 bond.

• Randal Freeman, 56, of Garyville, booked with contempt of court (felony) – 3 Counts and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony). Freeman is being held under a $26,050 bond.

• William Preston, 53, of Garyville, booked with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony). Preston is being held under a $25,000 bond.
