A few St. John officers were excited to meet teachers and seniors at St. Charles Catholic High School for a friendly volleyball game October 24, 2023 at the LaPlace school.
Sheriff Mike Tregre said the SJSO looks forward to this kind of event because it gives officers a chance to get out in the community and interact with the youth.
“A fun event like this helps us build a connection with our schools, and it helps students see that law enforcement officers are just like regular people who want to have fun, too,” Sheriff Tregre said.
