On Sunday, June 21, 2015, at 4:33 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 200 block of Amp Circle in Edgard for the report of a female victim being beaten by her boyfriend. When deputies arrived in the area, they heard two subjects in a mobile home engaged in a verbal disagreement. Upon making contact with the two subjects, deputies identified the male subject as Tommy Poche, 39. The female subject gave deputies a fictitious name, but later deputies identified her as Amber Glaub, 37. As deputies investigated the report of a disturbance, deputies observed no signs that Glaub was beaten.
During the investigation, deputies recovered a handgun in the couple’s bedroom. A computer check on the handgun revealed that the gun was reported stolen in St. Charles Parish in March. A computer check of Poche and Glaub revealed that both subjects were convicted felons, and Glaub was wanted on outstanding warrants in St. James Parish and Jefferson Parish.
Deputies arrested Tommy Poche and booked him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and illegal possession of a stolen firearm. He remains in custody on a parole hold and a $24,500 bond. Poche was arrested fifteen times in St. John the Baptist Parish since November 1997.
Deputies arrested Amber Glaub and booked her with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, resisting a deputy, and on fugitive warrants for St. James Parish and Jefferson Parish. She remains in custody in lieu of a $26,000 bond.
