On Sunday, July 5, 2015, at 6:27 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 600 block of Revere Drive in LaPlace for the report two male subjects with handguns. When deputies arrived in the area, deputies saw two subjects matching the clothing description of the reported subjects. Deputies recovered a loaded handgun from a car where deputies saw one of the subjects crouch down.
Based on the recovered evidence and witness accounts, deputies arrested Alteron Diggs, 17, of East 15th Street in Reserve and booked him with illegal carrying of a weapon; disturbing the peace – offensive, derisive, annoying word to another; and an attachment. He remains in custody in lieu of a $15,400.00 bond. Deputies also arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile of Revere Drive and booked him with illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile. He was released to the custody of a parent.
During the investigation, an assisting deputy asked several onlookers to step back while deputies conducted the investigation. After several requests, one subject, who deputies identified as Aaroneshia Patterson, 18, of Revere Drive, refused to move on, continued to interfere in the investigation, and cursed the deputies. When deputies arrested Patterson, she became combative and physically resisted deputies. Deputies booked her with disturbing the peace – offensive, derisive, annoying word to another; resisting a deputy with force or violence; battery of a deputy; and resisting a deputy. She remains in custody in lieu of a $8,250.00 bond.
