The property described in the Act of Mortgage is described as follows:

One certain lot of ground, situated in the Parish of St. John the Baptist, State of Louisiana, forming part of what was formerly the R. & J. Duhe Tract located in Section 43, Township 11 South, Range 6 East, East of the Mississippi River, Southeast Land District of Louisiana, which lot of ground is designated as Lot No. 3 in Block “C”, on a print of survey of Bootsie Subdivision, made by H.E. Landry, C.E., No. 554, dated New Orleans, Louisiana, June 1, 1949, said plan showing the subdivision of a portion of the N. & J. Duhe Tract, a blue print copy whereof has been accepted and approved by the Police Jury of the Parish of St. John the Baptist and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of Court, and according thereto said Lot No. 3 in Block “C” measures 60 feet front on a 50 foot street designated “Bootsie Avenue” by a depth between equal and parallel lines extending therefrom in an Easterly direction of 120 feet; said presently described lot of ground is bounded front or upper side or West by Bootsie Avenue, North or wood side by Lot No. 4 of Block “C”, South or river side by Lot No. 2 of Block “C” and East or in the rear or lower side by Cornland Subdivision.
