St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre is proud to announce that three of his officers were among 18 graduates of the Peace Officer Standards and Training program (POST) conducted at the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Training Facility in Luling.
Deputies Perry Naquin, Joseph Traylor and Kyron Turley were recognized as certified Peace Officers May 23, 2025 during POST graduation at the facility. Deputy Traylor was valedictorian for the POST Academy, Class 2025-41.
The 17-week program included training in firearms, physical fitness, Louisiana criminal and traffic law, writing reports, conducting interrogations and general investigative techniques.
Sheriff Tregre congratulated the officers on their successful completion of this rigorous and intense training.
