St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives arrested three people, recovered two guns and seized cars, cash, a variety of illegal drugs, including 100 grams of crack cocaine and more than 1,000 methamphetamine pills on Friday, May 30, 2025. The arrests came after a months-long investigation, St. John Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre said.

The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division began conducting an investigation in late April 2025 regarding Amandzo Williams and his involvement in the distribution of illegal narcotics in St. John Parish.

Amandzo Williams has an arrest history including, but not limited to possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, taking contraband to/from penal institution, domestic abuse battery, flight from an officer, reckless operation of a vehicle, and driving while intoxicated.

As a result of the narcotics investigation, detectives obtained search warrants for two LaPlace homes, one located in the 1100 block of Heather Lane and another in the 100 Block of Apricot Street. Narcotics detectives executed the search warrants on May 30, 2025 resulting in the arrest of three subjects, Amandzo Williams, Grant Willams, and Namoel Richardson. Amandzo Williams and Grant Williams are cousins.

During the two search warrants, detectives recovered two firearms, approximately 100 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 1100 methamphetamine tablets, approximately 700 grams of marijuana and over $6,500.00 in cash. Detectives also seized two vehicles being utilized by Amandzo Williams.

Amandzo Williams, 43, was booked with the following charges and has a bond set at $176,500.00:
• Possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine
• Possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine
• Possession with the intent to distribute marijuana
• Possession of a firearm with a CDS
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Transactions involving proceeds from CDS activity

Grant Williams, 55, was booked with the following charges and has a bond set at $201,500.00:
• Possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine
• Possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine
• Possession with the intent to distribute marijuana
• Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
• Possession of a firearm with a CDS
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Transactions involving proceeds from CDS activity

Namoel Richardson, 42, was booked with the following charges and has a bond set at $6,500.00:
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of cocaine
