Detectives with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division have arrested Dennis Stephens of LaPlace and booked him with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and one count of sexual battery.
In August of 2025 the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office was made aware of an incident involving Mr. Stephens and a juvenile which was sexual in nature. Through their investigation detectives were able to determine Mr. Stephens was responsible for the reported actions and an arrest warrant was submitted and approved for the arrest of Mr. Stephens.
Mr. Stephens, 68, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025 for the aforementioned warrant and was released on the same day after posting a bond of $22,500 set by Judge Vercell Fiffie.
