On Sunday, September 15, 2013, at 7:51 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a residence in the 100 block of Paula Drive in LaPlace for an alarm activation. Deputies found the residence’s rear door ajar and no one home.
As the investigation developed, deputies recovered a television that was stolen from the residence and identified a suspect. Charles Michael Bailey, 32, of Paula Drive was arrested and booked with simple criminal damage to property and simple burglary of an immovable structure. He remains in custody in lieu of an $18,000 bond.
