On Saturday, October 12, 2013, at 1:09 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to Bailey Lane in Edgard for the report of disturbance. Deputies arrived at the location to find over 100 patrons of Bailey’s Bar in the parking lot. Soon after deputies were in the area, a fight involving a large group of individuals started in the crowd. As deputies were dispersing the crowd, deputies saw a man kneeling on the ground. He sustained a cut to the left side of his torso.
He was identified as a 27-year-old from New Orleans. He was transported to St. Charles Hospital for treatment. The victim provided investigators with little information about the incident and was not very cooperative with investigators.
