On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at 1:31 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to 1616 West Airline Highway, Walmart, in LaPlace for the report of a disturbance in the store. When the responding deputy arrived on the scene, he spoke with the complainant who stated that he was struck in the face by an unknown male subject who was still in the store. The victim, a 64 year-old man from Reserve, was transported to River Parish Hospital for treatment and released.

Deputies arrested Borne and booked him with disturbing the peace (2), simple battery of the aged, resisting a deputy with force or violence (3), and battery of a deputy (3).
