On Sunday, January 5, 2014, at 5:49 pm, while on active patrol, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a car that deputies suspected the tint on the windows of the car appeared to be darker than the law allowed.

When the driver exited the car, a deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car, and another deputy saw a passenger throw a plastic bag containing a small amount of marijuana out the car. The passenger, who owned of the car, was identified as Ronchell Moore. Deputies also recovered a handgun from under the driver’s seat of the car, which Moore said was his gun.

Computer checks were done on the driver identified as Theran Johnson, and a passenger, Landon Pack, and both were found to have outstanding warrants. Two other passengers were allowed to leave the scene as they had no outstanding warrants.

 

Ronchell Moore , 27, 1 Summerton Dr, St. Rose LA was arrested and booked with possession of marijuana, illegal carrying of a weapon with CDS, and a bench warrant. Moore bonded out of jail on a $16,665 commercial bond. He was arrested 26 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since September 2003.

Theran Johnson , 27, of Woodland Drive in LaPlace, LA was arrested and booked with a warrant for issuing a worthless check $100-$500, bench warrant (2), an attachment, and as fugitive from another agency. He was issued a citation for illegal window tint and driving with no driver’s license. Johnson remains in custody in lieu of a $3,815 bond. He was arrested 6 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since September 2003.

Landon Pack, 26, of Creole Street, LaPlace had outstanding warrants, was arrested and booked as fugitive from St. Charles Parish. He was arrested 3 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since July 2010.
