On Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 12:53 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 200 block of Amp Circle in Edgard for the report of a home invasion. The male victim, 25, told deputies that he and his girlfriend, 22, were sleeping when two men with guns entered their residence and demanded money. He told them that he did not have any money. When the intruders went to another room, the male victim jumped out the residence through the bedroom window. The intruders fled the scene. Nothing was taken from the residence. The male victim was treated for a minor cut on his left arm that he sustained when he leaped through the window. The female victim was uninjured.
Deputies saw no sign of forced entry.
