To be better prepared to serve the public, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre required that all employees of the Sheriff’s Office be CPR/AED certified. Sheriff Tregre recently announced that 100% of the employees are American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED certified.
Heartsaver® CPR AED certification is a classroom, video-based, Sheriff’s Office instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR, AED use, and how to relieve choking and infant CPR and choking. The course teaches skills with the American Heart Association’s research-proven technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.
