No trick or treat tonight for the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Office deputies working the registered sex offender detail. It will be all business as six teams of deputies canvass the parish for compliance checks of all registered sex offenders in the parish.
Recently, deputies arrested Jarriod Fiffie, 32, of Edgard on a warrant for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. Because of the persistent efforts of the US Marshalls Fugitive Task Force to find Fiffie, he surrendered to St. John the Baptist Parish deputies on Sunday, October 26. He remains in custody in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
On October 21, Kenneth Lee Sr., 46, of Colony Drive in LaPlace was sentenced to the Louisiana Department of Corrections for six years for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
