On Monday, February 9, 2014, at 10:01 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 1100 block of Heather Lane in LaPlace for the report of an armed robbery. The 20-year-old female victim told deputies that when she left her residence to go to her neighbor’s residence, a man with a gun approached her and ordered her to give him everything that she had. She gave her cellular phone to him, and he fled the area on foot toward Airline Highway. The assailant was wearing khaki pants and a gray and white camouflage shirt. The victim was not injured.
Deputies canvassed the area looking for the assailant to no avail.
