On Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 4:57 pm, a St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a residence in the 200 block of Riverlands Drive in LaPlace for the report of a gunshot heard. At 5:05 pm, a deputy responded to Ochsner River Parish Hospital for the report that a 28- year-old man walked in the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his lower left leg. His current condition is unknown.
Deputies found blood evidence at the residence indicating that someone was possibly shot at the location. The victim at the hospital refused to cooperate with investigators.
