Kentrell Hayes

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives have identified the Garyville homicide victim as Kentrell Hayes, 26, of St. John the Baptist Parish. With the assistance of the Louisiana State Police Crime Laboratory, laboratory personnel confirmed his identity through fingerprints analysis.

     On September 16, 2015, at approx 7:40am  the St. John parish Sheriff’s Ofice received a call for service in reference to a black male subject found in a grassy area in the 200 block of sheriman Walker St. with a fatal gunshot wound.  During the course of the investigation the victim was identified as Kentrell Hayes, Age 26, of LaPlace, LA.  Hayes was believed to be hanging with friends on the same street he was found murdered.

     $1,000.00 REWARD  for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible for this murder.

Release of Sept 16, 2015
    On Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at 7:40 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 300 block of Sherman Walker Street in Garyville for the report of a man possibly dead next to a residence. Upon arrival, deputies located a victim of an apparent gunshot wound.
