On Monday, November 9, 2015, at 4:32 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 400 block of Orange Loop in LaPlace for the report of a shooting. Responding deputies found a 39-yearÂold male victim with an apparent gunshot wound in his residence. The victim was transported by emergency medical services to the hospital where he succumbed to his injury. Detectives identified the homicide victim as Burnell Perrilloux Jr., 39. No one else was injured.
Two perpetrators knocked at the door of the residence. The victim opened the door and an argument ensued in the residence. The victim was shot, and the perpetrators fled the residence.
