On Sunday, January 17, 2016, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested and booked Keith Carroll, 32, of LaPlace on arrest warrant for theft under $750 and malfeasance in office.
Acting on a citizen’s complaint, an Internal Affairs investigation revealed that Carroll used a Sheriff’s Office fuel card to fuel a non-department vehicle. Carroll was employed with the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office for seven years and assigned to the Criminal Patrol Division. He was terminated on January 13.
Keith Carroll was released from custody on a personal surety bond.
