Monday, July 11, 2016, at 3:04 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an apartment in the 600 block of Bluebonnet Court in LaPlace for the report of an unresponsive male found on the floor. The girlfriend of the victim told deputies that she found the victim on the floor and his apartment in disarray. The coroner pronounced the victim dead on the scene. Deputies identified the victim as Willie Andrews, 58.
Detectives found no evidence of forced entry into the apartment but suspect foul play in the death of the victim because the apartment was rummaged through. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
