Sheriff Mike Tregre and several officers with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office joined other parish first responders for a Blessing of the Fleet November 12, 2020 at St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace. The Rev. David Ducote offered a blessing of protection of all first responders, and then he conducted a blessing of all units.
Officers were delighted to see several SJA students in attendance to show support for the first responders.
While the annual Blue Mass was cancelled this year because of COVID-19, Sheriff Tregre is grateful to Rev. Ducote for celebrating the Blessing of the Fleet as well as SJA Church and School for support of first responders.
