Jessi Bryant, 38, of Reserve was arrested Wednesday, August 31, 2022 in connection to thefts in Reserve.

In July, officers began investigating a theft of an all terrain vehicle from a residence in the 4400 block of West Airline Highway in Reserve as well as the attempted theft of a trailer from a business in the 4000 block of West Airline Highway in Reserve.

In early August, officers responded to the theft of a lawn mower from a business in the 300 block of Rosenwald Street in Reserve.

Through investigation and review of video surveillance in the areas, detectives developed Bryant as a suspect in both thefts and the attempted theft.

Based on investigation, detectives obtained judicial warrants for Bryant’s arrest. He was booked with simple criminal damage to property – under $1,000 (misd), illegal possession of stolen things (felony), theft of a motor vehicle (felony), attempted theft (felony), unauthorized entry of a place of business (felony) and theft $5,000 – $25,000 (felony). He is being held in custody in lieu of a $163,839 bond.

Also, Lance Bowen, 25, of Garyville was arrested in connection to the theft of the ATV. He was charged with illegal possession of stolen things (felony) and theft of a motor vehicle (felony). He is being held in custody in lieu of a $32,500 bond.
