A LaPlace man was arrested this morning, September 11, 2023 after deputies discovered more than 77 kilos of cocaine in a LaPlace home. The male, 54, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine (felony). He is being held in custody in lieu of a $750,000.
On Saturday, September 9, 2023, officers began an investigation at the LaPlace home. During the course of the investigation, packages of cocaine were discovered. About 77 kilos of cocaine with a street value of about $2 million were confiscated.
Officers are continuing to investigate this case.
