Members of the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office SWAT team won a top award at the Mississippi Tactical Officers Association (MTOA) Competition October 25, 2023 at the Mid-South Shooting Institute in Lake Cormorant, Mississippi. SJSO SWAT was one of 30 teams to compete in the event, placing second overall.
“This was an excellent opportunity for teams to test and evaluate many elements of their operations while also bonding with other teams,” Sheriff Mike Tregre said. “I’m very proud of the excellent performance of our SWAT team at this challenging competition.”
