On December 6, 2023, about 6:30 PM, the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a male shot near Homewood Place in Reserve.
Upon arrival, deputies located a 16 year old male with multiple gunshots wounds to the body. Deputies, along with St. John Fire Department, rendered aid to the victim then transported him to a local hospital.
During the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified as a 16 year old male juvenile. The juvenile was located along with the firearm that was used in the shooting.
The juvenile was arrested and booked into the St. John Correctional Facility on Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Illegal Possession Of A Handgun By A Juvenile, Possess Unidentifiable Firearm, and, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
