Sheriff Mike Tregre and several of his officers had the pleasure of hosting the Marines Toys for Tots gift giveaway December 16, 2023 at the West Bank Public Safety Complex in Edgard and the LBJ Training Center in LaPlace.
Hundreds of children received toys, and Santa was happy to visit with families.
The SJSO was excited to present such a great event to spread Christmas spirit.
The event was coordinated by Officers Darlene Cooper, Ingrid Perrilloux and Terence Wilson.
Special thanks also goes to St. John United Way, River Parishes Behavioral Center, Louisiana Federal Credit Union and Evonik for contributing to the gift collection.
