Sheriff Mike Tregre would like to send a big thank you to Pastor Shane Newton and his congregation at First Baptist Church of LaPlace for providing a delicious barbecued lunch March 11, 2024 for the men and women of the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office.
For several years, FBC has prepared great lunches for the SJSO. Officers and other first responders really enjoyed the barbecued chicken and pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and baked beans prepared by church volunteers.
And, of course, it was hard for officers to pick just one dessert since all of the sweets looked so yummy.
