St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a one-car accident that happened shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 in LaPlace, La.
Investigators say a 79-year-old woman was in the parking lot at 1819 W. Airline Highway when she mistakenly hit the accelerator and drove into the building. The woman was transported to an area hospital.
The woman’s 2006 white Chrysler Sebring damaged the building that’s occupied by Studio Nails. The shop was closed at the time and no other injuries were reported.
