The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office stopped a reported armed robbery in progress at a home in the 600 block of South Golfview Drive on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026 and has arrested three men in connection with the incident.
St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call at 4:26 p.m. in reference to a person being robbed at gunpoint. When officers arrived on scene, they located a victim and one of the robbery suspects outside of the residence; two other suspects were later located inside the house. Two guns were also recovered that were found hidden in the attic of the house.
According to the caller, he and a friend went to the house to sell a vehicle motor and transmission for $1,800. When they arrived at the house, one of the men took his friend’s keys to the truck and backed the vehicle into the driveway. Shortly after two armed men came out of the house and a nearby garage, one of them pointed a gun at them and demanded they leave the motor and transmission without getting the payment.
The caller was able to run away and contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report the incident.
The three men arrested and booked with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy are identified as: Rashad Keeane Brown, 31, of Reserve; Lykem Lyjah Thomas, 22, of LaPlace and Kenyon Lionel Diggs, 30 of LaPlace.
All three men were being held in the parish jail under a $22,500 bond set by Judge Vercell Fiffie. Diggs was released Monday, Sept. 14, after posting bond. Thomas was released Tuesday, Sept. 15, after posting pond.
