The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested Marlon A. Primero-Xitumul, 19, of LaPlace and booked him with first degree rape and molestation of a juvenile (felony). The victim is a 10-year-old girl.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 200 block of Persimmon St., in LaPlace on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in reference to a sexual assault of a juvenile. The victim’s mother told investigators that Xitumul, a relative, had sexually abused the girl.
The girl was taken to Children’s Hospital in New Orleans for a medical evaluation.
Xitumul is being held in the St. John Parish jail under a $150,000 bond.
