On Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 3:07 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 400 block of Historic Main Street in Garyville for the report of an armed robbery. The victim, a 27 year old Garyville man, told deputies that he was driving on Historic Main Street, and a black male dressed in all black clothing flagged him down. When he stopped, the perpetrator pointed a handgun at him and demanded his money. The victim surrendered his money, and the perpetrator walked off towards Stebbins Street. The victim was not injured during the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
