On Sunday, August 2, 2015, at 11:40 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff‘s Office deputies responded to the intersection of Cambridge Drive and Woodland Drive in LaPlace for the report of two male subjects looking in cars and pulling on car door handles in a nearby parking lot. When deputies arrived in the area, they saw two individuals matching the description of subjects in the parking lot.
A computer check on the subjects revealed that one subject, Roddy Johnson, 22, of Revere Drive was wanted on a St. John the Baptist Parish warrant for contempt of court.
Deputies identified the second subject as a 16-year-old male juvenile of Revere Drive. Deputies found that he was in possession of green vegetable like matter, suspected to be synthetic marijuana, wrapped in the shape of a cigarette.
Deputies arrested Roddy Johnson and booked him with criminal mischief and a contempt of court warrant. Johnson was arrested ten times in St. John the Baptist Parish since November 2009.
Deputies arrested the 16-year-old male juvenile and booked him with criminal mischief and possession of schedule I CDS. He was arrested ten times in St. John the Baptist Parish since January 2012. His most recent arrest was July 5, 2015 and booked with illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
