On Saturday, August 29, 2015, at 1:07 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff‘s Office deputies responded to the 600 block of Main Street in LaPlace when a passerby reported that a subject was spray painting graffiti on a building. When deputies arrived, the male subject fled on foot, but deputies arrested him after a brief pursuit. Deputies identified the perpetrator as Chad Petit, 19, of LaPlace.
Deputies arrested Petit and booked him with criminal damage to property by defacing with graffiti and flight from an officer. He bonded out of jail on a $2,500.00 bond.
