St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Thaddaus Williams, 20, of LaPlace in connection with a disturbance that occurred Thursday, April 7, at a residence in the 1400 block of Yorktowne Drive in LaPlace.
On Thursday, April 7, at 6:56 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence for the report of a disturbance. The 31-year-old male victim told deputies that Thaddaus Williams pointed a gun at him and chased him in the residence. The perpetrator then punched the victim in the back of the head. A brief physical altercation continued outside the residence. Williams fled in a car before deputies arrived.
Deputies obtained a judicial court ordered arrest warrant for Thaddaus Williams and arrested him without incident Monday, April 11, at his mother’s residence in LaPlace. Deputies booked him with aggravated assault with a firearm, simple criminal damage to property, home invasion, simple battery, and two outstanding attachments for contempt of court. Bond has not been set.
